Emirates News Agency – UAE Pledges to Lead Disruptive Growth of Leading Industrial Sectors at Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit

Dubai, November 21, 2021 (WAM) – A high-level delegation of UAE ministers and industry leaders confirmed to attend the fourth edition of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (# GMIS2021) , which will be held from November 22 to 27 at the Dubai Exhibition Center at EXPO 2020, reflecting the country’s commitment to building a cutting-edge manufacturing sector supported by cutting-edge technologies and solutions from the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Co-chaired by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, # GMIS2021 will bring together over 45 UAE policy makers and industry leaders, as well as more than 250 international speakers, to participate in 70 sessions from November 22 to 27. Under the theme ‘Rewiring Societies: Repurposing Digitalization for Prosperity’, summit discussions will explore how data and connectivity are becoming the main factors shaping the future of supply chains, green manufacturing, sustainable energy, climate action, policymaking and global resilience economies.

Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, and LI Yong, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in their capacity as Co-Chairs of the World Summit on Manufacturing and Industrialization, will give opening remarks at the opening ceremony on the first day of the Summit.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and CEO of Mubadala Group, will host a one-on-one conversation titled “Investing in Cutting Edge Innovation” moderated by John Defterios, former CNN presenter.
